The task was the reconstrukction of an old “cube” house. This type of houses were built in Hungarian country side in the 1960-s and 70-s. The so-called middle corridor ground floor plan did not fit to the demands of the owners. The meaningless terrace in front of house to street became a new room, the entrance of the house was redefined, a new wood ceiling replaces the old bad one and new, bigger kitchen was designed for little family events. The shape of the roof recalls the old one, but it was rebuilt. In the interior there are two paintings by Imre A. Varga, the construktivist Hungarian painter.
